5 Timpani: (32”, 29”, 26”, 23”, 20”)

Double bass instruments which have a low-C extension should play the lower notes where indicated (ossia), unless otherwise marked “tutti.”  Should all players have the extension, then the ossia parts are to be divided in half (“divisi”).
